About this part
Webbing is 4 inches wide and 30 feet long. The stated figure of 20,000 lb is a breaking capacity, not a working load.
Breaking capacity is where the strap fails. What you actually put through it should be a fraction of that. Derate hard, inspect the webbing for cuts and burns before every use, and retire it when the stitching goes.
A tow strap is for pulling a vehicle that will roll. It is not a kinetic rope and it is not built to absorb a running start.
