About this part
A kinetic rope works by stretching. The recovery vehicle rolls, the nylon absorbs the energy, and the stuck machine comes out on the rebound instead of on a dead jerk. This one is 1 inch by 30 feet with a stated 48,500 lb breaking strength, and two soft shackles are included.
A kinetic rope is not a tow strap. Do not tow with it. Do not connect it to a tow ball, a hitch pin, or anything that is not a rated recovery point.
Soft shackles are in the kit because they weigh nothing. A steel shackle that lets go becomes a projectile. A soft shackle drops.
