About this part
Eight feet, 3 inches wide, 36,000 lb break strength, with triple reinforced loops. The manufacturer names three jobs: tree saver, winch line extension and general recovery.
As a tree saver it goes around the trunk with both loops joined by a shackle. Never wrap a winch rope directly on bark.
As an extension it buys you the last few feet when the anchor is just out of reach. Join it with a soft shackle rather than knotting the strap.
